Went snowshoeing with my son while my daughter was at her art class.
There was a light snow falling, like in a fairy tale!

On a very foggy morning, had to stop the car on my daughter's advice to take a picture of this beautiful creek:
I'll probably submit this picture at the contest which topic is lakes, rivers and ponds :)

HA! I have to be a jerk here but I think you are one of the very few in here who actually likes winter which is why nobody has left any comments :p
Great shots though. I like the distinct subject and background separation in the first one.

The top half of the 2nd picture reminds me of the Narnia movies :P
With the snowy fog/mist.
So I must ask, how is the world of Narnia?

You have a nice winter scene in your area :) Makes for good pictures like yours Marie, I like the colors of the one with your son in it - he really stands out and it's great exposure!

Thank you everyone for your nice comments

Here's another one taken on a very VERY cold morning, I went on a shooting rampage on my snowshoes, starting with Unexpected (my horse) who had frost on his hair!
He didn't seem to mind the cold, they grow hair so thick in the winter...
Sun was just getting up and giving this reddish color to the horse.
About half an hour later, some functions on my camera wouldn't work anymore and my fingers were getting numb from the cold, although I was dressed for it...
Took me about 3 hours to stop shivering when back in the house... must be a low level of hypothermia.. :(
Hot soup and wood stove helping ofc ;)
