I have yet to identify those birds.. (waiting on Pierre to see it)
Picture was taken this summer at Mont St-Hilaire on the South Shore of Montreal.
Not sure what was for dinner, but the 2 little ones seemed to enjoy whatever mom was feeding them!
Had to crop it a lot to make it a decent picture, but lost a lot in the quality :(

snapshot character ! Can imagine how great it would have been if you went closer to the top two birds , went down a little for a better perspective and maybe some bokeh and got them in sharp focus.

Problem is that they wouldn't let me get closer!!!!
Also I do not have anything that goes above 50 mm :(
With a 200+ mm I could have taken the time to position myself and wait for the right moment, but with my actual gear, I looked pretty stupid trying to get closer to them
One day, I still have hopes to get more lenses.....
I drool with envy everytime there is a new topic about someone about to receive a lens

Those are Chipping Sparrows Marie. :D The French name is Bruant familier.
Sparrows can sometimes be hard to identify, and even harder in the fall (due to color loss) because they are such a large family and many of them look alike.
The reddish brown cap, black streak through the eye and broad white stripe over it make this sparrow easy to identify.

Only if you had longer glass Marie, That would be an excellent timed shot.

In the mean time, you need to brush up on your ninja skills.

Note to self- Ask Zex for bird IDs in future.
