I braved the cold while two other wimp'd and i got results to show for it :D

Man it was chilly out there.. 5ºF with wind = :cry: But 2 hours and i got decent shots. I was pleased :P

I actually missed a really really big meteor streaking thru the sky.. my camera was pointing at the other direction :( ISO fisheye.

No trails on the first one, even with such a long exposure, and no noise in the second. That's what a 5DmkII can do :o
Plus your watermark is much better now :)

4777 second exposure on 2nd pic :evillol:

Watermark wouldn't end up so nicely without your suggestions :P

stick to black / grey / white for the watermark. really, it´s super anoying in the pictures.

Wow! only 13 seconds on the first shot???? That's awesome, I really like these! You must get really bright stars there.

I think it looks alright, no? I don't get why people are so picky with watermarks :P :lol:

Well i originally wanted to shoot these at a State park roughly an hour drive away to get away from the light pollution.. but the two guys backed out and i don't want to go alone (since there are coyotes and bears).. Yes yes, i chickened out -_-

So i had to shoot these in my backyard. There was a patch of sky that has alot of stars, but he moon was out and the light from it would kill the shot.. Then i have to avoid the streetlights and other people's chrstmas lights. BAH. The stars show up so bright was probably due to my ISO3200's sensitivity.
