Outside on a nice sunny day enjoying the squirrels. It's too bad they didn't come down closer to get some peanuts from me. They seemed quite content in eating the old tree seeds that haven't quite fallen off yet. I will catch em closer one day!

Taken with my 70-200!

Fall in love with the 70-200 yet?
O btw i'm not lying about the police thing. It was late and I was pissed so I guess I didn't take my time to explain it right.

I'm slowly falling in love. I have to use it more, and it's a little chilly these past few days.

Haha - that's ok, was only messing with ya.

Oh well some tips to caring for this specific lens: don't try to clean the back part of the lens (where it attaches to the camera). It's deep enough so that most dust won't get into the glass. If it does, use a blower. If it persists, use a brush. There shouldn't be any finger prints on it since you shouldn't be touching it anyway. The telephoto lenses are strangely attached to humidity. I live in a desert and upon checking 1 cm humidity levels, I found that this lens (among the other telephoto) withold more moisture than usual. I'm too lazy to look into it, but it's to your benefit to include a little bag of rice close to where you are storing the lens so that it can absorb this extra moisture. Finally, be sure to take it out of its sexy leather pouch sometimes. It gets really humid in there, especially if you've been outside in rain / snow with the pouch!

Okay, good to know thanks for the tips! So it collects a bit of moisture more than normal? I was out in the cold weather with it already :O

Rice is your friend if you want something relatively cheap. And yes, they do. When I traveled to San Antonio, my 70-200 F4 IS went as far as fogging!

Lol! So funny to hear you talk of cold weather. My glasses fog all the time here. I've had my lenses fog before. Not this one, yet. I will take extra care with it though, I'll just zip it in a zip-lock bag when I go inside/outside. & I'll try not to go out much anyway when the temp is dramatic.

Gratz on the lens man girl. I hate to be the one ruining the show.. but it's either user error or your lens is front focusing. (assuming you AF on the eyes ofc)

The coldest we get here is like -6* C. It's a horrible, dry, bone-aching, experience. We've gotten to 44.5*C though. THAT is hell on earth.
