Video light, to light up the area while video-ing? What does it do otherwise?
The only draw back of the 5d MK II is that unless you're using a flash unit to AF assist, you've gotta manual dark locations. It's very difficult to AF in low light.
Sometimes I'm using a wireless setup on the flash units and I need 3 independent strobes and the location is relatively dark. A nice light will help me with AF, although the wireless canon trigger has AF assist. Since I started doing video/photo slideshows with Animoto on-location (non HD, although 16:9) in some events for promotional purposes (since playing Starcrack with 250+ APM gives me sexy photo editing skills), the primary use of the lights will be with DSLR video.
