This image is protected against alien invaders or what...
Couldn't get the image link, but here's the site where you can see the photo of a horseman and a nice background.

http://www.professionalsphoto.com/

My tools:
Photoshop CS4 and the whole package that came with it (Lightroom etc).

I would like someone to make me a simple tutorial so I could do something similar with my own horse pictures.
I will pay fg!

Thank you in advance!

slap a bunch of textures on different blending modes ( preferrably soft light ) and add text.

In English please??? :o

haha seriously, all I can do with PS so far is play with contrast, saturation, crop into a square, diminish noise... that covers most of it...
This is why I would like a very noob friendly tutorial, kinda someone to take my hand through the maze of PS.... :)

I'm at noob at photoshop but ^that is probably the best bet. Then use the eraser tool afterwards to blend it in.

I just don't understand any of the 'slap textures' blending mode' 'soft light' 'eraser tool to blend'

I am seriously a beginner in PS, this is why I need someone with a lot of patience and reason why I offer fg :p

then you should first check out a tutorial on blending modes. I hope you´re capable of dragging one image onto another?!

You know when you import a image into photoshop.. it's the base layer with a lock on it?

Find a texture you like, EX- a stock image of a old crumpled paper, paste that onto the image as a new layer. And under the blending mode.. (the little box on the top left of the layer's palette), change the blending mode from "normal" to something else such as "soft light". Adjust fill and opacity afterwards. Use the eraser tool to erase what you don't like.

Where do you find 'stock images' ?
Are they free for everyone to use?
