Ok so I was asked to do some interesting model-like, local magazine shots but the look that's wanted requires some constant light. Will 250 watts be enough?

Its really a personal preference. Constant lighting gets very, very hot and ends up making your models sweat and squint...however, you do get the bonus of being able to see exactly how the shot will turn out with your current lighting.

I really don't think there is a shot that REQUIRES constant lighting vs. flash. You can make flash look exactly the same as a constant lighting setup.

I have three 500 watt lights, it's fucking terrible as far as heat goes.

If I could get an LED or CF bulb that would be as bright as the ones I use now that would be great, does anyone know if they make anything like that?

I've only seen large LEDs for videographers, which I was really considering.
