I am setting up a studio and am looking into lighting
dont want anything pro, just something decent for a lowish price
so i hav a few questions:

how many strobe heads should i go for? 3 or is 2 enough?

need links to studio layouts etc

so far seen the following units:
visico VE-250 - 2 strobes, umbrellas, stands etc
prodigy EX-200 - 2 strobes, softboxs, stands etc
interfit ex150 - starter kit, backdrop, 3 strobes, umbrella, softbox, snoot, stands etc
interfit exd200 - 2 strobes, softbox, umbrella, stands etc
inerfit sxt3200 - 2 strobes, umbrellas, stands etc

does any1 hav experience with any of these units?
or would you recommend any others?

A good starter setup will be one strobe, ettl cord for ocf, a light stand, a shoot-thru/ reflective umbrella and a reflector. That combined with diffused natural light can make some appealing portraits.

Here is my comparable setup.

What exactly do you want to shoot and how creative do you want to be?

Answering these questions will determine how many strobes and what kind of modifiers :)

I don't have any experience with those kits, never even heard of them, but I have plenty of studio lighting experience.

Personally for portraiture I'd start with two strobes (most powerful ones you can afford) and a softbox/beauty dish combo. Obviously stands and some sort of wireless trigger system.
