if you´re on full frame, it´ll be your best protrait lens.

Oh also, since you already have the 100L Macro, it might be a little redundant.

I was thinking of buying a 1.6 frame and putting the 135L on it. It'd be a nice 217 range. On portraits, putting it on full frame ofc.

Well, if you're mounting it on a cropper. You might as well treat it as a 200 f/2 ;)

Problem is I don't need a 200 mm. But I hear so much good stuff about the 135 and I'm on my way to moving to primes only and zooms as backup (although the 70-200 IS L II was too expensive to not use it)

Wow, i told you so! I remember you made a thread awhile back and asked about zoom vs prime for weddings.. I suggested primes only and you bashed me :(

But honestly.. i would keep the 70-200/2.8 MkII over a 135L any day of the week.

The 70-200 is just as sharp yet you gain flexibility and IS. One stop of light lost is only downside (and weight too maybe).
