You can compare different lenses with ease, I still don't know what to think about this, I'm still learning it.

Let me know what you think about!

Edit: when you hover the image with your mouse you see the statistics of the left lens.

Edit2: I'm comparing two 50mm lenses, sigma 50 1.4 USM vs Canon 50 1.4 USM. I seem to figure that sigma is sharper at very low /f, but Canon wins from /f 2.0 and forth. Almost incredibly sharper at /f 8.0 + .

I used that resolution chart when I was arguing with Eek in another thread :D
but you have to know that it doesn't say everything about a lens things like AF accuracy, flare etc
when it comes to Sigma lenses it seems the quality on their lenses varies a lot. You would need to
be lucky to get a sharp one otherwise you end up like me walking around with a lens that produces
soft images

Yes I know there are many aspects that cannot be listed in that site.

Like focus speed and accuracy, color rendition and more.

Still I think it's a good starting point :)

Argue is such a strong word, we love each other here right? I think we were debating. ;)

I can't say enough good things about my Sigma 30/1.4.

Also as far as i know, Nikon bodies don't have issues with Sigmalux (50/1.4) front focusing.

Yeah that's true. I am actually dying to see a review on the new Sigma 85 f1.4. If their quality control has improved I may will consider
getting one but for now I am staying away from any the current Sigma lenses :(

Dude, you are slacking.

AF accuracy is superb. Blows the Canon 85/1.8 away in sharpness (and the 1.8 is already heck of a sharp lens). Purple fringing is very very well controlled, bokeh is excellent and so is color rendition.

We might have a winner here.
