I Think this contest thing is really taking off.. i'm pretty sure this will be a regular event.
Now before i disclose what the topic theme is, i know there are alot of suggestions as to what the next theme is going to be. I have a reasoning for choosing the topics that i chosen. The first contest for those of who that remember was "50mm". The entire point of that theme was to get people to zoom with their feet and to explore different shooting angles instead of relying on the zoom ring. The last contest which was "reflections" was to get people to pay attention to the viewfinder and all the little things that goes unnoticed during our daily lives and see the beauty in them.
Hope you guys are seeing a trend to what i'm doing. I want to make this a journey for us all to improve ourselves as a photographer and to learn new techniques, see the light and appreciate all the little details around us that goes unnoticed on a daily basis etc. Now, i do understand that you guys don't want to have me dictate what every contest theme is going to be. So this is the last theme that i will choose for the contest. From here on out, the 1st place winner of the assignment will have the honor choosing the next theme (and to save me some headache brainstorming
).
Phew, now that i got that out.. I got one more thing to address, a few participants have PM'd me and express concern over the length of the contest, it's a little too long and they want to have this type of event more often so therefore i will shorten this contest to 4 weeks instead of 6. This new contest that I'll be will be hosting is open from
October 3rd to October 31st for submissions.Now the usual rules.
Here is how it's going to work,
submission will be sent to me via private message, i will personally strip the EXIF data and send them to AlPi via email after the contest ends to post on his site to prevent further compression lost. Once that is done, i will make a new thread with pictures posted anonymously for voting by regular members of the photography forum. (More then 15 post in this sub-forum for the last month). Public poll will not be instated since i've seen people who get friends to rack up votes. Not that any of you will do that, but just for a more fairer competition.

- ***For any reason that we get a tied between first, second, or third. The tieing position pots will be combined and split into two equal prizes.

- Picture must be taken within the contest time frame.
- Only ONE submission per contest.
- EXIF data must be intact with date/time the shot was taken along with other technical details (Focal length, Aperature, shutter speed etc).
- Please resize image to long edge of 1024 pixels.
*Please keep post-processing to a minimal, it's a contest for photography, not image editing.Also, I have asked Zex yet again to mediate this contest for us. Just hoping to get the final okay from him. And i hope he will.
