The first is pretty cool, though I wasn't sure about the angle. To see what I didnt like i opened in photoshop to try it out. I think the angle should be a little less .. steep? like a little more horizontal. The second is the best, great one. It looks as if you simply opened in photoshop and converted to black/white without editing anything else, you could try a little more with contrast/sharpness/etc. pretty good pictures!

I don't use photoshop. I used lightroom but yes I haven't gotten around to learning how to mess with BW yet in lightroom so I did a simple default conversion. I can however increase contrast next time I go into lightroom and see how that works out. You're right I hadn't noticed they're low in contrast.

Since when do breakups involve rings and sand, both symbolic of the opposite in my opinion.
If it was a tub of ben & jerry's that would be a different story, lol.

All are very good, the focus is spot on, the DoF is great, and the contrast creates the expresses incredible emotion.
