I hate how other cameras have so much better ISO capabilities than my 1000D

I know the feeling, a friend of mine have already bought a full frame and the difference with my camara is huge!

Btw, ISO performance is quite good during days in almost all camaras, do not be impressed from a day-light picture at 800 ISO.

Why did you have to bump up your iso so much? Lower your shutter speed since 1/1000 is too fast. It almost seems 'auto.'

Btw I'm sure you love your lens :D

Well, it was moving and in daylight I do not have so much noise, so I prefer to keep faster times for freezing the subject!

Quite happy of my lens I am :D

First off, keep your photos to a smaller size, 750 max width is a good size for these forums, second, don't hijack peoples threads, what you just did could be considered spamming.
