I am curious to know if any of you have lost any of your gear, whether it be a battery, a charger, a lens, the camera itself (lol), or something....

Share your story, if you have any...

I have lost my battery charger  Just today... still searching, but it will only go for so long before I need to charge my batteries again... :bonk:

I usually am pretty good at that... I am a very organized person. So when something goes missing, either it fell out without me knowing, or someone took it/replaced it.

I say that's the next thing I'll lose because I kept it in the same spot my charger was in

Haven't lost anything as of yet and i want to keep it that way.. just couple months ago on the photowalk that i attended. I found a nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR sitting on a bench, lucky i was able to find the owner since he was in the walk as well.. just imagine losing a lens like that.. i would slit.. literally.

I have 'lost' so many things in my house cause I can never remember when I put them, or my house is too messy....
But so far always found them back...
Batteries, charger...

Lost a kit lens to the sidewalk. I had the camera on a tripod and the legs were not fully extended because of the angle I wanted the shot. I was waiting for a bus to go by and a gust of wind knocked over the tripod and the camera landed on the side walk lens first. No damage to the camera but the lens was lost. The camera wasn't even two weeks old when this happened. So I guess you can consider this as lost to the sidewalk and a lesson learned the hard way...

When I'm shooting an event, I tend to leave one of my cameras (usually carrying a 24-70L) to use my second with a prime on the table. Once someone tried taking it, but I saw the person and told him that we ought to avoid problems and to leave my camera in its place. I usually have an intern or a friend with me when I'm shooting in weddings (or a second shooter) so I hardly leave stuff unattended.
