I am very disappointed in the quality these photos came out to be. I don't know what's going on ... maybe I've totally changed in taking photos but jesus, I'm just tired of the photos looking really good on your camera screen, and then you come on here and they are the complete shit when it comes to quality. I thought I got some pretty good shots, I get home..... transfer them ...........

I think I need to back track here and ask: What is it that I need to do to achieve quality photos?

I came across some crazy clouds after we passed a rain-storm on the way back home. They looked pretty crazy, so we stopped and I took some photos. I also saw a funnel cloud too - you can see it if you look close - it is pretty small. I didn't do any editing to them yet. I will probably mess around a bit to see what it turns out like. They might appear a bit boring, but at the time I was quite amazed by the way these clouds were.

4. Tree again, compared to the other side

Dunno maybe they lack a subject...
But I don't dislike them anyway. You could try to be closer to the ground to give a different point of view.
4th and 5th are my favourite, those cable lines give a good effect of depth.

Oh silly girl, once again, keep the horizon horizontal :p

They look bad because the quality and colour of light is shit :/ Might of made a nice high contrast black and white...

Awe I know so much what you mean, but I can't either say why..
Maybe the lack of a unrelated subject, like a person or animal? Unsure...
But the colors/contrast is awesome!!
The last one especially, I really like the field!

 thanks Alan. Yes, I realized after taking these photos that it was slightly off... I gave myself trouble about that already, shame on me.

You mean the light in the actual area I was in, or the light in the photo? I could have changed a setting to make this better?

Thanks Marie.
It could be lack of subject... although I did like the part with the field & power lines; I should have captured more of that.

I edited one of them, and made the contrast higher... I think it looks much better :O

Is it still bad?

You can control every factor in your photography except natural light. You can't expect vivid, beautiful photography when the source of vivid colors (the yellow-green provided by the sun) is covered by ugly, black/gray clouds.

It is better, try to crop it so you end up having more field and less sky. Also try to keep those poles.

No no no, not at all love. You can't change a camera setting and make it all good :/

I'm talking about the light around you. The atmosphere is pretty flat and dull and the only thing that could fix this is if the sun popped out of the cloud cover.

Your composition isn't bad.. it's just bad timing unfortunately! You can't walk out into a storm and expect great shots everytime haha :)
