7 years ago, I mated my competition stallion with a ex racing thoroughbred mare, with the intention of training and selling the baby.
11 months or so later, a little bay colt was born, with eyes to die for.
He grew up with such a sweet disposition, almost forgetting he was a horse, and not a human.
I became so attached to this little colt that I decided to keep him, and instead sell my other competition prospect who was a much better mover.
Therefore the name 'Unexpected'
So I 'broke' him till I got on the saddle to a walk, then let him grow up in a field.
Even in a field with his buddies, he is always looking for human attention and would do anything to please.
This is the type of horse that is so nice to work with.
You can show them anything, and as long as they know it makes you happy, they will do more and more to please you.
At age 6 and fully grown (16.2 HH) is now ready to start working more seriously.
He has everything to succeed in the Hunter classes with the way he moves and the way he looks.
Yesterday my cousin and I officially started the work under saddle, after months of lunge training.
This little colt grew to be a big solid horse who will be competing in Hunter classes next summer.
Can't wait to start jumping!!!
