Why a third body and why not another 5d II ?

I think he means he wants a new one because his others aren't so great. Maybe, or I could be completely wrong.

It looks as though he means he doesn't want crop sensors anymore if you ask me.

I already have 2 5d IIs. I'd like to be able to provide an ok camera to a trusted second shooter (since I very often shoot 2 MK II's wearing a prime or a 24-70 and the other a 70-200). I have this prodigious intern that I'd like to unleash

Cropped sensors have pretty mediocre image quality, and the 7d runs with a 1.6. Although it may provide some pretty cool perspective, I find it unecessary, but I perhaps saving ~1k is an even better incentive.



Learning with Sony cameras left a bitter aftertaste in my calibration. Sony = bad iso management.





If I buy the 7d I get a new car or buy some new glass to fuck around with.

7D is a hella sweet camera. Sure the sensor is smaller.. but the IQ is excellent.

Can you tell the difference in these two shots?

I'm sure that the 7d will cause me problems because I shoot without flash and often in low light. 2.8 may not be fast enough to produce shots using at most iso 3200 with the 7D, so I'm limited to primes with it.
