compatible with my pentax camera ? or do I have to change my camera and then get the lens ?

Not directly. Get an adapter. Do pentax make a 50mm 1.8 ?

Why would you need any other site than the official pentax site?

pentax has a 50mm 2.8 macro lens in their lineup. A single lens shouldnt be your reason to change your whole body and stuff tho. You should switch to Canon simply because it´s better :P

Get the Pentax 55mm 1.4/f, it's about the closest thing to a 50mm prime lens that you can get for Pentax, aside from older fully manual lenses.
