Not yet, I have a ton of AA batteries I will use for now while learning to use it!

I am a complete noob when it comes to lighting..

Great deal. I paid $400~ for mine and it was worth it. I also have a 430 EX II for a second light.

Check out Strobist for tutorials. It's very helpful and taught me alot.

I can't post the link b/c d2jsp will block it and probably warn me for linking to it. Just google strobist and should be the first result. There is a lighting 101 link when you arrive. That's where you should look at.
