For sure! This thing is a sexy beast! Now all I need is the 80-200 f/2.8 from a few years ago to put on this thing...

Yes... My parents have one... Right now they are going for around $1k for a new one. The new 80-200 VRII run like $2200...

Also isn't the 80-200 VRII almost as good as the 70-200 f/2.8L MK II?

I think the VRII may be slightly better... But my opinion may be a bit biased... I've always thought Nikon has the better zoom lenses, plus the VR is just icing on the cake... I'm way too poor for that thing though, I am looking into buying one of the old 80-200 f/2.8 used. Thinking I can get one from a very trust worthy source for about $800. But that is still a great lens, and I'd be able to use it for both my F5 and my D80...
