Taken with a Nikon d60 borrowed from a friend for a little while. They are not post edited and come straight from the camera. Not great but C&C would be appreciated. Thanks

she's camera shy by the way. that's why she looks down

I know most of you won't believe this but this one is also straight off the camera. no editing at all. I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it either.

1.071px × 1.600px doesn´t fit on most screens... scrolling ruins some good shots..

ye they´re too big and first is out of focus. face should be sharp but I guess you know that. I think the second doesnt work imO. looks like you used a flash huh? the rose looks pretty ugly and the for that case the dof isnt well picked. the girl in the background rather anoys the whole image than adding to it. but that might just be me. idea is alright, just could have pulled it off better compo wise etc.

there you go a lot smaller now ^_^ ok so I know the rose was hideous but I was working with what I had at the moment. how could the composition have been better so I can take a better one? and I see what you mean about the dof but may I have some more ideas please for composition? please don't hesitate to be harsh with me because I really want to better myself and see if I have it in me to take decent pictures

btw here's another one. look, I am serious about wanting to improve and because of that you will most likely see bad pictures from me until I start learning how to take them and how to calibrate my camera correctly. I'm teaching myself and I would really appreciate the help. Like I said, criticism is what I'm looking for even if it is harsh thanks =D

Make the photo bigger, and do use the build in flash - it makes a harsh light + crappy shadow.
Try to use some pieces of paper in front of the flash.
