I need to choose a close up, all-natural shot of Quinceañeras, or the Mexican equivalent of a Sweet Sixteen (at 15 ofc).

So, JSP Photography forum, choose a picture for me. Please add a comment as to why and how you made your decision.

4 or 8 are the best, if not the only ones really to the advantage of the girl.
All have to do with the angle they were taken in...
9 has an angle of girls taking pictures of themselves in the bathroom and is the worse of them..
The others are too much of a profile type, putting the emphasis on either the cheeks or nose..
If she doesn't like 4 or 8 (i think she looks precious in those) then re-do the shoot and try to have some poses where she is slightly facing more the camera, without looking straight at it ofc...

She has wonderful eyes and lips..
Start with the serious shots, then make her laugh by saying just anything silly, keep shooting in the meantime...
You can always crop later
Then go back with the serious shots...
After some face relaxing by the natural laughter, the lips will take a more natural stance even in the serious shots.

I really like #8 because it's different. The composition is great on this one. I imagine that in a frame and I think it would look really nice. I do prefer the colored shot though.

I've already got a ton of shots where she's laughing at. I'm in need of a slightly serious one. Thanks for your comments (and chantal7 as well).

If you need one that is more serious go for #8! #1and #2 would work also but she looks somekind of smug in it. The most sympathic one for me would be #3, but it´s not serious in any way and #9 would be a more sexy one out of them all.

I would go with 8 definately. Is 4 the same picture? I would go with colour though, she has a nice skin tone and the lighting is great. 9 is good too but she looks sad in it which is not ideal for a celebration picture

Chin down and slightly to the side in portraits unless the subject has a slim jawline! Always try and shoot down on the subject too. Side-on makes her look a little chubby.

I choose 8 but 9 would of been nice if it wasn't shot with a wide.
