I in no way consider myself a photographer, but I want some settings or tips to make these look better. Camera is a Fuji finepix S8100FD and I generally just use macro/super macro but I feel like im missing out on some color in these pics. Ideas/opinions/criticism/flaming pls :D

These are edited in no way except resizing and cropping if anything. Some of these pics are a few months old but most are semi recent except the first two which are from a few hours ago.

Midas blenny

Blue leg hermitts, dirty class ruined it :(

Female Yellowfin Fairy Wrasse

Frogspawn LPS coral

Mushroom

Gorilla nipple zoanthids

Featherduster tube worm - which was ripped to shreds by something last night o.o

Anddd full tank shots

What can I do to improve these? Not looking for artsy pics, just good color, focusing, and stuff like that...If theres any tricks to it.

oh, and any questions about saltwater tanks or anything just pm me :F

wow this tank is pretty cool
the colors of the fish and plants are amazing
if u wanna get better colors of the fish try getting more lighting (i don't think flashes would go well with them)
and for just the coral a tripod might be a good idea cause u can use longer exposures which will brighten them

how big is the tank? how many fishies?

Tank is a 29 gallon biocube, but currently has about 33 gallons total in the system. Four fish; a midas blenny, yellowfin fairy wrasse, Green clown goby, and a yellow watchman. Ordering a lot of corals this week to finally start filling up the bare rock :D As for lighting I use a 150w MH with a 14k bulb, so it doesnt get much brighter inside the tank than that. I can turn all the lights on in the room and the pics are still look the same imo.

Will try the longer exposure once I can get a tripod from a friend, thanks!

Ugly stand I know :(

OOH! :)

Those aquariums can be so cool when people actually take good care of it. Some interesting pictures too, the last one looks like something out of star wars though @_@.
