I dont know why this forum is so wierd about topic titles.

Id like some feedback, these are a few of the first pictures that Ive taken with this technique :) And dont mind the borders, Im a freak about those sometimes xD

It kills me that the bg is so distracting.

This one is really sentimental to me, one because of how I view it and two because it emulates the style of the photographer that inspires me.

You're right about the background in the first, it's a little distracting.

There's something about that second one I really like :O

The light is nice on the third, really soft and subtle. I think the exposure is good, long enough to create blur but short enough to freeze and create figure.

It looks like you shot the last two on colour neg ^ ^

I tried to clone stamp it but it was too around her face, lol. Ah well, live and learn and buy black curtains.

Thanks :)

Yeah Im glad she was so close to the window, I had opened the blinds and curtains as much as possible to get natural light to come through. Thanks for the input, trying to get shots of her was really frustrating >>

I wiki'd the color neg thing, but I still sort of dont understand it. Did you mean it looks like I used film..?

Idk seems like I've seen to many blur shots with slow shutter speeds... :/ so they dont impress me anymore

still number 2 is interesting. would have been nice to have 1 person standing there, like if everything was going fast around him ( dunno if you get my idea :P )

Everyone has done everything, nothing is original. Thats like saying theres too many flower shots, or zoo shots, so they cant be impressive. Know what I mean?

Yeah Ive seen shots like that on da, since this was one of the first times I tried it I wanted to play it a bit safer and have no one around :P As I learn more Ill try more difficult things.

I know I just think there's still a way to be original with angles, models, lightning, expressions, metaphors and such.

i'm digging the 2nd one, did you use a tripod for that? i especially enjoy the part where the sunlight hits the train exiting the tunnel, and reflection of the light on the wagon. artistic.
the last one is creepy :o in a good way though, that noise is actually helping the shot imo

Sorry but I think this argument is silly, and we're going to have to agree to disagree.

No, I only used a tripod for the third one. I actually couldnt believe how well it turned out, I was shooting it from the other direction then to catch the tail end I had to turn around quickly and steady myself (I was sitting, so it probably made it easier)

Thanks Sawyer :) Im really going to cherish the third one forever, Ill probably cry looking at it when my daughter is all grown up.

the second one is awesome. good depth, composition, motion blur and colors. the "sharp" areas actually could be a little sharper but meh. well done. not a huge fan of the others, even tho the third is kinda interesting in it´s own way.
