These ones are way noisier, but I thought I'd show them anyways. I really should use less iso next time, hehe. Tell me what you think!

I edited them a little to make them a little less boring :) Some of the ones I did some editing on made the noise show up a little more.

I like the color effect you did with the 5th picture.

The 6th picture is really nice, too.

Those two are the ones I like the best.

Very nice pictures chantal. I need to try and capture some lighting shots as well :)

PS- When shooting long exposures.. Always use the lowest native ISO possible (100 in most cases) 200 when highlight priority enabled. Never 50/400/800 etc :)

Lowest level of noise possible ;)

I disagree. Sometimes, in rare cases. Long exposures are complimented with a touch of noise/ grain, imho.

True, i guess i should've worded it differently. Grains are sometimes included for artistic reasons.. It's not really a rule that i'm giving.. but as a tip since she wasn't too happy about the noise levels from the comment on the original post. :)

Thank you! Glad you like it. I chose the popular purple color, hehe.

Thanks!

I encourage you to go out there! But try to do it before the lightning comes, or when it's just leaving for your safety!

Yes, I knew to shoot low iso, but I knew that sometimes increasing it can have a different effect. What do you think of all the noise on the photos? Terrible? Not bad? Better without?

To all of you that want to capture lightning, all you need is a tripod and a camera with long exposure! :)
