Every year on april 30th everyone in the Netherlands goes to the street and tries to sell all of his crap, this day is called koninginnedag (queens day) and it's a tradition for a long time now.

So I went looking through all the crap and I saw a camera bag full of photography stuff, like some old lenses, some old polaroids etc.

He didn't want it anymore and sold it for cheap (since he thought digital ruled the world now), I spent like 10 bucks and this is what I got:

can you guys tell me if this is all junk or worth anything?
can't do anything with the lenses so probably gonna sell them, how do I know if they still work etc (since I can't test them)?

from left to right:
- small lens - mc rokkor - pf 1:1.7 50mm Minolta
- larger lens - panagor auto wide angle 28 mm 1:2.5
- white camera - polaroid land camera - supercolor 1000 (tray that holds the film is missing, looks dead when I press the button)
- black camera - polaroid supercolor 635CL - (came even with the original manual and is making a lot of noise when I press the button so I think it's functioning)
- black/red bucket thing - lens holder
- grey camera bag

am I lucky or is this all crap?

I´d be interested in the two lenses. if you could find out if they fit on a Minolta Dynax 5000i, and if you´re willing to sell them to me, I´d maybe buy me off from you for a cheap price. I googled around abit and I found out that those lenses can be purchased super cheap nowadays. so I wont give you a shitload of money. but it´ll definately overcome the 10 bucks you spent for all of that crap :P

if you are interested, send me your msn via pm and we can talk^^

Wow! I wish we had something like this in the United States. I'd have a good time running around looking through all the crap.

If you'd be willing to ship that 28mm I'd buy it with that lens case too! :D

If it fits Minolta, that is.

Aw. Well I guess it's back to searching for me then.

Unless... Haha, I'll give you $20 for just the 28mm. :)

And another $5 for the case.

In answer to your question sk8n, at least one of the lenses is good, I know for a fact that the 50mm is a great lens as I already have one. They go for anywhere from around $5 up to $100 depending on what model it is, whether or not it is auto focus, the overall quality of the lens and much more. As far as the 28mm goes, I personally have never even heard of Panagor, though I can't imagine it being too awful of a lens.

so you guys like the lenses :)

I'm not here to make an auction or anything I was just wondering (since these lenses are wanted) how I can make sure these lenses are actually working.

I heard that they used to put all kinds of engines and features in the lens and not in the body. so how can I test those?

and what about the polaroids?

As far as I know, both of those lenses are completely manual, meaning there is no focus or aperture motor inside of them.

Just look through them and make sure you can see clearly, twist all of the rings to make sure they function properly, all of them should glide with the exception on 1 which may click.

One ring is the focusing ring and the other is to control the aperture size (apeture = the opening inside of the lens).

When you twist the aperture ring look through the glass, the aperture blades should move in and out making the hole bigger or smaller.

While twisting the focusing ring parts of the lens, either internal or external depending on which it is, will move. Sometimes it is simply an element inside of the lens and other times the first element will move and the whole case of the lens will actually telescope out and get a little bit longer.
