Hi all! I have to take some pictures about hands for my photo course at school.
I chose my boyfriend's playing guitar.
I've already taken some shots but i have to choose four of these.
That's why I need your advices to confirm (or not) my thought!
I think that it's often not particularly harmonious because of the crazy position of the hand to play a chord, or the lightening is definitely not good, ...
Ofc, try to stay indulgent, i just arrived in this school one month ago!

Here is a selection of several shots :

Firstly, you can post 10 pics per post here. Last one is the best of all of these. My suggestion is to use that one and go get three different shots.

I think when it comes to such body parts as hands, the shots need to be absolutely sharp. if you cannot achieve that, be it because you dont have good enough equipment, that´s very unfortunate. you can still get some great looking shots tho. try out interesting lightings and perspectives ( you actually did that in the shots you posted, just need to perfect em ). Maybe also try out black / white with high contrasts ( not too high ). They tend to give textures alot depper feeling etc.

I think they look much better in Black and white personally, but I am also a bit biased because I like pretty much everything black and white..think it can give most pictures much more character
