I would note that I am still an amateur so I make stupid mistakes.
But everyone learns from mistakes;)

actually im using canon 400d + 18-55... and 50mm 1.8

the first model is cute. the perpendicular/square shots are kinda boring, but the pictures are not bad. if you would've angled your camera a bit they would've been more interesting. the second photo has a funky light-source, but the other two are cool.

the other model pictures didn't turn out as well. unfortunately the first picture looks like she has a black eye and she's about to cry (not your fault..haha, or is it? jk) ..the second one is blurry, but the lightning isn't horrible. the third picture is the most interesting. it's too bad the model is snarling.

edit: fixed multiple typos ><

The first girl is beautiful. The first picture is the only one without ackward shadows. Last pic on second girl would have had some potential (because of the lighting) if properly focused and the girl was a bit nicer about being a model. The rest of the pictures, unfortunately, need work. As the previous poster mentioned: angle your camera a bit and consider your background in accordance to this angle to try not to distract from the model.

just like eric, i prefer and consider the number 6 ( last one ) as the most interesting picture in this topic ! I'd bet you were with the 18-55 lens and probably around 25 or < wich makes her looks like shes got 8 feet tall legs !

tho it seems a little overexposed ( her right part of the face and her chest seems so white ! ) its an interesting shot. I'd tried it with a an F / 4 or even with your 50mm 1.8 the depth would have been so nice !

that first actually looks pretty decent. good pose of the model ( not so super awesome facial expression but I guess she´s not a pro either ), good soft light aswell. overall a nice shot. I dont really like most of the others tho.

The first picture is one of my favorites. A little Fotoshop and the effect is probably satisfactory
