Here's my bird collection!
All pictures were taken while on vacations in Florida, in the week following my purchase of my new Canon EOS xsi
Did I mention I love my new camera?

1*
I had a little help from my son here when he was running on the beach, scaring the birds to make them fly away :p
Picture taken on a morning while in vacations in pompano Beach, Florida

2*
Miami Metro Zoo

3*
Blue bird in Fort Lauderdale

4*
Hummingbird in Butterfly World (Fort Lauderdale)

5*
That same bird was having fun coming back and forth to the same branch where I had a fun time trying to catch him with my camera!

6* Still in Butterfly World, this was the cutest little guy around

I'm new in this topic about Photography, so forgive me if this is a Noob Question

but this are the original photos taken by the camera or did you work with a program like photoshop on it to get pictures like that ?

Number 6 is my favorit :)

incessant - I think they haven't been edited with photoshop, Marie would've most likely indicated that in her post. But that my opinion.

I must agree, superb pictures and my favourite would be #6. Nice quality!

I'm too poor and too noobish to use photoshop :p
All I did is add very little contrast and saturation using GIMP.
I also cropped # 4-5-6.

I know I liked it, the scene was perfect for the mood you put into it! :)

e: great photos btw! But I get the feeling some of them lack a little bit of sharpness (3 & 6)

First of all, I really like you photos MotherOfTwo. You have really improved your skills! 2 and 4 have great composition and colors. :)

Not to be rude or grumpy, but why destroy the photos by making cross processing? The method is old and everyone uses it. I think the rich natural colors and the birds are the essential part in the photo, not some fancy color effect.
