the first is kinda just, well, is, its water

the 2nd is a tad bit on the blurred side

3rd on you should have tried to get the squirrel right dead center, so it is your focal point, is is, theres too much empty space to the left there, more of the tree would have been nice too

not bad though

No. Don't put your subject in the center.

Rules of third. Never put the subject in the center. It's boring.

I wouldn't say never... BUT it is very boring to put your subject in the center.

The first photo has too little in it to capture my attention for any length of time. I do see the contrast of light on the darkened water but it's still not that interesting to hold my attention. Something in the water that could be framed better would probably at least have me looking longer, though with such sunlight reflection off the water it would likely be unexposed unless you manually set the camera to expose for whatever that subject is. The camera's own meter will over-compensate for the reflections and make the surrounding stuff a little dark, as you can see with the water around the reflection in your shot. I also don't have a sense of scale, so can't tell if this is the size of an olympic pool or Puget Sound. An interesting idea would be to put a model out there on an intertube and have them HOLD a speedlight pointed at their face, trigger it with some sort of good trigger such as a Pocket Wizard and see what kind of interesting and different portrait one could get. Framed into that water nicely it would definitely be holding my attention.

Photo 2, campfires are campfires are campfires. And a little blurry as noted.

Photo 3, not bad. I'd maybe frame it a little different to balance things out but then again, I don't know what anything around the shot looks so can't really speak. Maybe this was the best angle, framing.

Photo 4, where's the lake house? I came here wanting to see that.

Me too.
When presenting your photos the text also should make sense.
