Today we ventured to this lady's farm. We had to travel down from the city and onto the mountainside. It was a beaten up dirt road, had to do about an hour of off roading to get to the point where we parked. Then it was a short walk to the lady's cottage. From the cottage we had to walk/ hike even further down to the area where I was finally able to take these photos. This place was unreal! Could you imagine this running through your yard? It's a little piece of paradise, wouldn't you guys have to agree? Haha, so anyway... I can't remember why honestly, but for some reason I changed the exposure bias to +1 before I went and did all this. I ended up forgetting about it, and while I was shooting all of this I kept metering. Then after each shot I would look at the LCD and be all like wtf why is it over exposed!?!?! Then I would retake the shot and under expose according to the light meter. It wasn't until after I loaded the cameras onto the laptop that I realized it. Silly me. And that kids, is why we check ALL the settings before we shoot =P

Once at the bottom of all the stairs (there were like 400 - no joke) this is where the pathway began.

The pathway takes you through these huge boulders which create an almost cave like opening.

Between the boulders, looking back toward the entrance.

Natural pools. There are waterfalls way in the back, through all those trees. I didn't get a chance to hike up into those though =/ Instead I climbed down into the lower falls, which was definitely worth the climb.

Why are all the trees here so fuk'n awesome? Its a damn shame I couldn't get wide enough to fit all of this in the frame. 18mm and my back was up against a huge boulder.

Another cool looking tree.

Wide look of the lower falls and small pool below.

Just to the left of the shot above. Lovin this shot.

Even more to the left! Over the edge of this is an even larger/ taller water fall. But I didn't see a way to safely get down to that, so you don't get to see it. Lovin this shot as well.

Saving the best for last! Here is a nice long exposure of the lower falls. I had to jump across the stream and climb up onto a boulder to get this perspective. Mini tripod for the win, haha. That little thing is such a handy thing to carry around.

OMG I gotta get myself one of those mini tripods

These are pretty cool. I like them all, I like your story. Kick ass pathways you have to walk through, I'd be way behind the group just taking photos and looking in amazement  This is so cool that you are sharing all of this^^

Mini tripods are so awesome! Especially when they fit in your pocket :P Seriously though, I am buying two tripods while I am here for cheap! Another mini mini one, which is more heavy duty but not flexible in any way. Then I am also getting a small table top sized one for when we travel to Kuala Lumpur and Pulau Redang Malaysia. And as far as walking behind the group taking photos... Haha, what do you think I was doing? :P
