So yesterday I was stuck at the house. Wasn't able to go anywhere so I didn't get many photos. But I did get outside and take a few macro shots. Then this morning I went outside real early and got a few macro shots of the dew. After breakfast we headed down to a village in the lowlands below Baguio City. I forgot to ask what the village was called but it is about 40km outside Baguio.

Macro flower shots:

Macro shots from this morning:

Baby billy goat down in the village.

Below the mango tree in the village.

Village recreation. Crooked basketball hoop made with a tree stump. I am in love with this, haha.

Guard dog on duty. Haha! This made me giggle. Down in this village this little dog was in front of someone's home. Every time I would step forward he would bark or growl at me.

Remains of a washed out building. This was once a part of a factory where furniture is hand weaved. The man who owns and runs the factory spoke with us. He told us how the typhoon that hit during the last rainy season created a mudslide which washed out most of his factory. He said that about 300 meters of his property was taken away by the slide.

More coming next post.

On the road to Baguio, this is the view!

Presidential Campaign. Instead of using a sign, they paint their names on a rock.

Cliffside homes. These people are crazy imo.

Kenneth Road. The road to and from Baguio. Very scenic drive! I could only imagine this during rainy season, lush and green! My parents said they counted once, counted 36 total waterfalls on this road. Anyway, sadly its dry season. So its brown not green. And, the mountain is on fire, which is the reason for all the nasty haze.

Haha! These are awesome once again!

I really like how you took the tree photo, tree on the left, scenery on the right. It's a nice tree! lol

And wow that basketball hoop is crazy! What anyone would do for a little fun eh? I wish I lived in those days where everyone appreciated what they had.

Cliff side homes, now that's interesting. Gotta agree with you that they are crazy!

I love these types of pictures! Thanks for showing them!

Yeah, most the homes in the area are like this. Freaking nut bags. Its a damn shame about the haze though, imagine all these shots with clear blue skies! Speaking of that, it is super windy today so most of the haze has been blown out. Anyway, my pleasure sharing. Today I am headed to the market hoping to get some interesting shots.

Ah - yeah that's true about the haze... what is it caused from? I guess you could always have some fun later and edit the sky out ;)

Well first off, they tend to burn a lot of things here. For instance, most people here burn all their garbage. Secondly, pollution. Most vehicles here run off of diesel and have horrible emissions. Lastly, parts of that mountain area are on fire.

Edit: And I don't have the software to edit the photos. I didn't bring my own laptop with me because I figured I'd just use my mom's. Therefore, I have no photoshop.

Ahh, yeah I could have guessed the vehicle part .. lol. Wow burning garbage now that's interesting, but I can see that happening since it takes up less space that way. A very interesting place you are visiting there!

Is Baguio in the Philippines?

Those are really nice pictures. I enjoy pictures from other countries. My favorite is the tree with chair by a dried out river.

Yes, Baguio is in the Philippines. Up in the mountain province (obviously). I loved that tree! I took two different shots of it, two different perspectives. Decided I liked the one posted the most.
