This was taken last summer, 2009. I was going through some older photos and came across this one that I took.... it's dark, yes, the original was even darker. This is a RAW edit... I thought it looked cool looking back on the photo last time I seen it.

Its dark indeed!!!

But i like the angle and the overall atmosphere this creates.
The trees look even taller reaching for that little window of blue sky :)

I was actually surprised I could get any color out of this! It was completely black when I took this photo. I was sitting by a camp fire :O

I like the outcome a lot, the high amount of darkness around makes the little lighter area even more special and desirable. :)

Oh i see, this could be the reason for that shining light on the branches of the tree on the top right i assume!
You got any pictures of the camp fire or the shadows also?

Yep - that's exactly what I think it is! It was the only light our there - haha.

Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the camp fire, :(. It wasn't the best fire since it was in some kind of "stove" looking thing.

I love seeing the stars at night, it's almost impossible to see them here unless you go out into the mountains, then they are absolutely magnificent.

Aw really? That's really too bad... :( I guess we take it for granted just a little bit being able to see them almost every night.
