I've always liked abstract photos so I figured id finally try some today (had to go to 3 stores to find incense wtfffff)


anyways heres some results of it

To take these i used 3-4 incense lit at the same time, id use spoons and other random objects to make different kinda of smoke..
also had a external flash hitting the smoke with a black background (for the last two i inverted the picture)

then just change color/fix stuff up in photoshop




(this one was flipped to make this image, i feel he should be in some kinda video game lol)

Very nice! This will be my next experimental project. Once I lose interest in water drops, and once I get back from the Philippines.

I only like the first. you should keep it abstract and definately get rid of any symetry. it also only looks good on black b/g imO. gotta try it aswell

i have been thinking of getting smoke pics for some weeks but been too lazy to buy some incense and i wouldnt want to lit a cigarette in my apartment because it smells to bad.

i think they are all very good, the symmetry in the second gives it something different, and it still looks good. as well as the third, it looks like something off of tv

and the 4th looks like optimus prime lol or megaman
