so I tried to take good pics of a castle (we weren't allowed to get close) with my p&s camera.

was a little hard so I decided to try and transform it into an old painting.

what do you guys think?

I know it's photoshopped a lot so details are lost :/

It has a nice view, cool style to the photo as if it was really old, back in the day. How come you weren't able to get close?

It really looks like an old painting and the scenery is beautiful.
That effect fits nicely to the subject i think and gives it a special atmosphere as if we were in medieval times.

yea I was thinking about it since this is cropped a lot I got the change, but the problem is the only clouds are the ones close to the horizon, the sky was completely empty
and after these effects it looked a bit strange so I thought let's crop that as well.

there are people living there right now, so it's their property (and I was walking my dogs and they had this small barking doggy, so couldn't stand there for very for very long)

Rules aren't static, I think this is a good example on when you can break them.

Good work! I like this one very much :)

You should make a print of this, show it to the people living there and maybe they would like an enlargement of it!
