got the camera..today..testing quality

here is a picture of the 5th house to the left zoomed in from where i am standing in pic #2


hd video i shot on the camera(hit 720p on the video to watch in hd, quality is a lot better, on youtube it looks bad

Welcome :)
Just a short lesson, try to build your photos in third, the main subject should be 1/3 part into the screen, that means you'd better
back of just a little in the dog photo for example, place the free space ahead of the dog and try to get something interesting in front of it as well.
Also try to keep your camera at the same level as your focus point.
These two tips may help you imrpove your photographing a lot! :)

Just a little bit more, I took the time to laborate just a little bit with these in photoshop, the colors are a little bitt dull, the pictures can get fixed quite easily in photoshop
with increasing contrast/lowering brightness + adding some sharpness :)

Good. I'd be worried if a person who seems to know his photography theory and software editing recommends a pixel editor such as photoshop to edit the vibrancy of colors. Yuck :D
