My pleasure of course, thanks for sharing some photos of your experience!
Always great to see others falling in love like i did.
Yes indeed, this is what i love so much about it also.
One can enjoy the nature and its beauty much more in peace like that.
I dont like overcrowded beaches with literally one sunburned ass laying next to the other and all this...
Rather walking on these endless beaches, going swimming in the lonely bays, riding some waves
or have some chat with the local people when traveling through the island.
And these islands got so much to discover!!!
It has changed during the years, there are way more people and tourism these days of course.
But in comparison to other places it is still acceptable, especially when knowing the right places where to go now

Most tourists go to the big cities for the parties, entertainment and all that stuff,
but the real beauty is found in the smaller fishing towns where the local people live.
They catch some fish behind the house and one gets a fresh mail straight from the ocean on the table afterwards.
When we traveled there for the first time like 19 or 20 years ago there was hardly any hotel and the airport wasnt that professional yet.
My mother was so scared when we landed because of all the "bumps" in the road, every flight was a little adventure

She had problems with her back and no doctor could help her, i had lung problems...
When it was getting really desperate someone finally advised to go there because of the climate.
The wind coming over from the Sahara has such a curing effect, most people curse it because of the sandstorms though.
We did go there and we both got cured and we came back year for year discovering the island and its people
