Are yours better ?
Way to much ISO grain. Subject is boring. Composition is not good. Sorry to say it.

Btw, What settings did you use?

wow, best critque ever? obv i posted a photo that i think is worth discussing. to say the subject is boring is very subjective. Yes, the photo does have iso grain, but shooting on location in the wilderness sometimes u must make sacrifices for sharpness when ur not working with a tripod. I feel that it was better to have a little noise in the photo then to have it OOF. I never ran this through a noise filter because i hoenstly dont feel that noise ruins a photo 100 percent. if i took this image to print i might run a noise reduction filter. Anyways, i dont think the subject is that boring i happen to like the coast. thanks for ur awesome ideas!

dont remember and to lazy to look it up, but based on the iso noise and the DOF + the amount of motion blur on the waves id say it was prob around 1/60th @ f11 or so.

You have a problem with your attitude since both your topics got closed. Everyone are welcome no matter what subject they are photographing.

nice composition, but bit boring because light is not balanced well, eyes wander to sky all the time, but the sky doesent look very intresting and foreground that otherwice looks more intresting has dull colors and low contrast

for the second pic that slow shutterspeed + flash effect looks cool, but the angle and too dark background is boring

i dont think u understand that unless i had about 100 stobes there would be no wayto add light to the background. as far as the angle is concerned i was very limited on where i was able to shoot from, being as this was at a competition.

also, other angles would have included other rails in the shot, which i did not want.

nice observation. I actually desaturated this image a bit to help with the mood. as far as the sky being a bit boring and drawing the eye, yes it does draw the eye because thats where the frame leads, and because of the brightness. to me its the lone seagull on the rock that makes the image. i dont know if u noticed it but that is the intended focal point. i do whish there had been another something to include in the top left to stop the eye, but again u have to work with what u can :)
