Change ISO to a lower number. Depending on the camera, sometimes they will produce noise anyways. I find that a lot of point & shoot/compact cameras produce a lot of noise just because the sensors on them are not as good as SLR cameras.

better lighting, lower iso.
shooting in larger resolution and resizing.

and why is it sometimes that i put a lens on and it's really dark. then when i take it off and put it back on it'* fine?
