Well, it took long enough getting here. The estimated shipping date was about a week after and it's been two..

Here it is, the HP PhotoSmart B8550.

One thing that I'm loving about it already, if I click about 3 or 4 buttons on the printer and wait about 10 seconds I can have blank music sheets flying halfway across my room. This is great for me, because I play bass guitar and a lot of the time I need some spare music sheets.

Three other great things:
1. Prints up to 13x44 border-less
2. I can print without wires from any bluetooth device I have, that includes my computer :D
3. It uses 5 different ink cartridges that are only about $40-50 to replace all of them

Another neat little thing, is it has a separate tray for smaller photo paper.

Haha that's pretty cool! I like the bluetooth feature! Funny that I see your printer now, I was just thinking about that it would be nice to have the bluetooth on my printer. I have an HP too - and the smaller compartment for smaller photos is pretty neat I must say!

Well, sadly, I just found out that just because it has bluetooth, doesn't mean it can be use. :(

Apparently I need to have a separate bluetooth adapter attached in the back, but I will probably go out and get it.

No I don't think so, on the printer there are bluetooth settings, but you need the bluetooth 'dongle' (that's what it's called, I don't know why) instead of the usb cord. It's not built into it like in many other things.

make sure you let us know about the quality of your first prints. I´d be interested in getting a photo printer aswell, but I´m not sure if they can replace the professional ones in the print shops etc.

Ohh okay, that makes sense. Kind of weird that you have to get the dongle separately.

About $202 for the printer, 25 sheets of 11mil, glossy, premium photo paper, and high capacity cartridges. I think the printer completely alone was like $170.

Yeah, I also had to use a usb cable to connect it and it didn't come with the printer, I was like WTF?

The print quality of all of my photos that I have printed from HP printers so far have been equal to the print labs. I just printed off a 13x19 last night and it turned out fantastic. I compared it to a similar one I had done in a print shop and I couldn't see any difference at all, except it cost me about 50% less. :D
