Alright guys lets clear this up real quick! Buying girlfriend new camera since my puppy chewed hers up when I borrowed it. Was on her computer and saw in bookmarks a camera she wanted and it was the Nikon Coolpix.
Now the use for this camera is only for say self pics, pics together and little objects. Not looking for an AMAZING camera. Looking to spend a top of $200.

Nikon Coolpix S220
Reviews: Pretty good reviews. People Liked the 3" LCD screen and touchscreen works great. Controls are simple to use. Alot of people complianed about grainy/blurry pictures if your not really steady with the camera and bad pictures indoors. Ulitmantly this is what girlfriend has saved but she doesnt know much about cameras either like me. She just likes it from that commerical with ashton kutcher.

Canon Powershot SD780 or 1200.
Suggested my many members on here the Canon SD series. All good reviews from what I've seen. Not a big fan of the design of it though, but not my camera.

Also What do you guys thinking about the

NIKON COOLPIX S630 BLACK DIGITAL CAMERA

Closer to $300.. More of what she wanted though..

Nikon’s pocket-sized Coolpix S630 combines 12.0 effective megapixels with an amazing 7x optical Zoom-Nikkor glass lens for stunning prints as large as 16x20 inches. The sleek, new smart grip design makes it easy to carry, and the incredible, bright 2.7-inch LCD makes it easy to compose and share pictures. The Coolpix S630, with Nikon’s EXPEED image processor and new 4 Way VR Image Stabilization, makes incredible pictures incredibly easy. The Coolpix S630 also features Nikon’s New Smart Portrait System, which automatically detects your subjects face, takes a picture when they smile and warns you if they blinked.

Welcome. :)

In my opinion touchscreen is a crappy feature, I have used one with touchscreen and it did not worked very well. I can not say more about those two cameras.

I hope you will find a good camera for her. :)
