This is about simplicity. This is how I started in the early 1990's and this is how I recommend others start in photography. This is what I will be getting back to more in this coming year.

No offense to you, but this guy has some really stupid things here. Like how tripods are a waste, they are not, unless you have a camera with an extremely good ISO appetite, or you're as steady as a rock, you need one for night shots. Well I do anyway, even with a 1.7/f and 3200 ISO my camera still needs over a second to take the picture.

I can see where hes coming from, you shouldn't carry as much gear as some people do but no need to be that extreme...

"The best and most simple camera is something like the iPhone or the QuickSnap."

hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Wow, that's just stupid.

Also a single 50mm lens is in no way enough, unless you're taking only things that you can get up pretty close.

I don't agree with everything he says ... in fact I am not much of a Ken Rockwell fan ... however read between the lines. This applies differently to everyone.

I agree, I know people who still only shoot with a few primes.

But Ken Rockwell is a wanker :/

Just a little bit. His lens reviews are quite interesting though.
