These 2 cameras i am contemplating between, will be buying one or the other this week or the next.

candidates

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera With 18-55mm IS Lens Kit -
Price:
$599.99
On Sale:
$549.99

VS

Canon Digital Rebel XT EOS 350D [ Depends if a good deal becomes available on eebay because apparently stores no longer have these in stock ]

Like i said these are the 2 ive given most consideration to buy for my very first camera ever [ aside from my 2.0 MP camera phone =D ]

I'm kind of leaning towards the canon 1000d because of its easy access just go to the store and buy it and some have said its very good for beginners. But I'm curious if the 350d would be better?
Well any of your input and or personal opinions on the two would be great. I may even pick up the 1000d tomorrow if the feedback is what i hope to expect, best regards.

I would definitely go for the first one there, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera With 18-55mm IS Lens Kit. It's much newer, and it's at a decent price I think! I never did like the XT. I have the next model up from the XT and was glad I went with the newer one rather than the old. :) And like you said, it's not even sold anywhere brand new AND you can find the other one much easier :O

yea its a little on the pricey side, what kind of accessories do i need to buy extra like batteries and stuff?

Memory card for sure. Uhhh, a filter to protect your lens and an extra battery is always useful!
