im giving in a going to start shooting RAW.

the only reason for me not shotting in RAW before was because it seemed to much work/time but thats only a small part of it, the main reason is because our computer is so old like 6 years old and it takes forever to do anything especially with the huge resolution of photos it can take ages, it can take up to 5 minutes just to open up photoshop.

but i guess i should just deal with it if i want to get better.

if anyone has any advice or examples of before/after feel free to post!
and how much you usually spend on a photo.
I haven't shot a jpeg in probably 4 years. RAW has a larger gamut range, colour space and it doesn't sharpen your image.
What exactly do you want to know about RAW?
Typically I'd spend 10 minutes on basic retouching. Then probably 20-30 minutes on a make over, if it's a portrait. The longest I've spent retouching an image was 12 hours (off and on)
