Nikon D90 Kit with AF-S DX 18-55mm
f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi with EF-S
18-55mm IS f/3.5-5.6 Lens

Some store has them both on special, this week-end only and I would like some opinion on them, preference from people who have used one or the other...

Thanks in advance :)

Hello. :)

Well, the D90 has a movie function. But then I do not see any major differences.
Whatever you choose you will get a good starter DSLR.

I have used the 450D/Xsi for 1,5 years, and I think it is a good beginner DSLR camera - You know what it can produce.

Have a good time! :)

Why would the Nikon be better, I mean, in what way?
And yes it is more expensive...

The movie function is not really needed for me...
It'S like those cell phones now that you can play games and listen to music and all... my cell phone I only use for.... making phone calls
Thanks :)

it has 6400 iso(xsi has 1600iso only and more noise in lower iso), but i bet it has so much noise that its unusable, it has 11 af points, better lcd etc. d90 and xsi are bit different price range cameras, if your willing to pay more for d90 you get more, but xsi is great camera allso.

But it can go from 200 - 3200 ?

And the 6400 is not good.

e/Ah 100 - 6400 extended. Otherwise 200-3200 range.

I get the newsletter from Vistek and this is the link to the special offer they have this week-end for the Canon..
http://www.vistek.ca/search/search.aspx?q=236092%7C236184%7C238170&order=Price&utm_source=enews&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=DEC11CRASHER+Enews
I am very much tempted by the middle option, with the big lense....

I am absolutely not familiar with pricing and all..
Is this something that gets on special regularly in other store?
Or is it an offer I should really jump on?
