there we go. This is a shot from last friday of a member of my workshop. Today we were editing the images. As you can see, the light on the faces is way too bright. Guess the photographer used flash + sun ~~
Anyway I tried to get that light of there and make it look good / natural. To my surprise I failed. All the ways of getting rid of that anoying flaw I know didnt work in this case. The burn tool was useless, so was the contrast / brightness adjustment layers etc. It seems like it´s just TOO much for photoshop to handle in this one. do you have ideas of how to get that done? Because it´d be quite sad if we´d have to trash that shot. lmk

There's not much you can do to retrieve information that's not in the file, short of drawing the information in yourself. That's the problem with digital cameras, you have to be very careful with your highlights.

/e Yeah, just had a look at the file in Photoshop, the highlights are completely burnt out, there's nothing you can do about it, other than take another photo.

I've come to the same conclusion.
Only way to save this one is if you have the raw file, and not 100% sure it would work there either

Even lightroom would have trouble with this.

Absolutely nothing you can do. Those highlights are at 255. In other words, there is no information to play with.
