Hey, so I am looking for some input on a memory card...

So, I'm currently shooting with 3 x 2GB Panasonic SD Memory Cards Class 6 write speed.
I paid $69.99 each back when I bought them from Vistek here.

NOW, I recently saw this, a Limited Edition 2010 Olympic Games Memory card By Panasonic (Same company as my current cards)
They have an 8GB class 10 SD Memory Card on sale for $59.99!!!!
CLASS 10!! I believe that's the fastest write speed on the market right now in memory cards??
And for that killer price?? Is it worth it to buy one or two? Especially at 8GB Each! (I could even use them for transporting files and such from computer to computer!?)

After a bit more research, I've found the Pro series II's that write at 15Mb/s for $119.99 for an 8GB!!!
Now, This looks like a HUGE bargain, recording at a killer 22mb/s!!

Yea this is definitely worth it.

What camera are you shooting that requires a SD?

I love my CF cards.. fast and durable.

We had this discussion some moths ago.

It is only minimum speed. But almost every card is over class 6 even it is a class 2.

Yeah.

But when I went to Vistek and bought my Class 6's he told me it was the highest class and was fast enough to write the 3.5fps my camera shoots.
He said the higher the class, the higher the write speed, and it looks like it to me at 22 mb/s that's the fastest I've seen.

Might also be helpful if shooting 3.5fps in RAW?? Cause I know if I shoot 3.5 right now in RAW with my parents class 2 SD, it has to stop and take a minute to write it all.
(With the little red light on)

CF for life! Haha.. Yeah but I'd buy them if I was using poor little SD cards.

I love being able to do 5-6 FPS raw 10MP images.

It is still minimum speed, when you talk about the class.
Try a sandisk extreme IIII they have like 30mb/s, but it is still a class 6.

Yeah, CF is so nice! But quite sad 450D can not use them. :(

That's another thing about Sony I love, but my A300 has a horrible appetite for ISO noise..

They also have these..

32GB Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo™
Minimum Write Speed (8-bit parallel transfer) : 15MB/s (120Mbps) (In the case of optimized compliant host device)

Yeah, I've seen the Extreme III's but they are over $100!
They are good and all but I don't think I'd buy them unless I was using like a MK II or III.

They also sell a 4GB Class 10 Limited Edition for I think $39.99, which also looks like a good deal.
