.... it's my favorite holiday (no I am not emo). I just love Nightmare Before Christmas and all the joy Halloween brings. In fact I was thinking of drawing up a bill and getting congressional support to replace Christmas with what I like to call "the Grand Halloween" thus making two Halloweens in a year. "Halloween Classic" and "Halloween Grand".

Anyway, I went to a nice little community gathering/ritual, worship, whatever. It was called Night of 1000 pumpkins and Day of the Dead. It happened on 1 Nov. Many people brought their spent pumpkins down, hung out, danced, listened to music, etc. I went to this event and took a few photos. Here is a couple of links to those. Yeah, wow, Halloween is very much celebrated there. Awesome photos... I have never seen or experienced anything of the kind. It looks like a lot of fun.

Halloween isnt celebrated that much in Germany, but its slowly swapping over during the last years.
There is a growing market for commercial stuff and especially tv makes use of it with some halloween specials.
Saw some things to buy at the stores these days and a few kids from our road even came to our house to sing and get some sweets
