Well folks I say its time to get to work!

You had better believe that im going to be the task master. What I have in mind is this. If your interested, tell us what you like to photograph. At the very least tell us something your into. I will come up with an "assignment" asking you to shoot something or shoot in a particular way. Now if you get inspired you dont have to shoot on the assignment, do what you like. But if not you'll have something to go for.

My goal is that through this we will all find ways to inspire each other and pump a little life into this forum. Also, I believe that we can hone our photography skills by having what you could almost call a curriculum. Now I shouldnt be the only one doing this. If anyone has anything they would like to see from someone else dont be afraid to toss in your two cents. I believe we all have a fairly good idea of each others skill levels.

I will be participating as well. If you dont quite get what Im trying to say stick around and Im sure I will be able to clear it up^^.

Just a starter

I like to shoot:
Shots with heavy DOF
Architecture
I like to portray some kind of emotion. Even with inanimate objects.
Humor
Motion

Hmm good idea! I will participate.

I don't know what else to say (I might have more to say later).

Here is what I like to shoot:

The world:
- Storms (lightning)
- Landscapes (trees/nature/scenery like sunsets and just ... beauty of the world)
Humor
Pets (this one's difficult for me, because I have no pets so it doesn't happen very often) --- I would be a pro at this by now if I had some pets of my own.
Night photos
Anything that's fun

I am sure there are more, but those are my favourite. I don't really enjoy portrait photos unless their my relatives/friends. Other than that, I just like to have fun.

hmmph.

I like to shooot...

Interesting lighting
Action
Vehicles
Macros
Nature
Motion

AND I ABSOLUTELY HATE SHOOTING STAGED SHOTS SO DON'T ASSIGN ME THAT. I have nothing wrong with it, just it's no fun to shoot in my opinion.
I'm all about very natural shots. i feel that as a photographer i capture the beauty instead of create it. yadig? :D

I love your initative

I've been extremely busy with real life lately....
I have pictures taken over one month ago, still in the camera and not in my computer yet...
Full time work, then kids and horses, and on my days off working on the house as a helper (saving on one worker but tired as hell).

What I enjoy shooting not in that particular order):
Insects and spiders in their natural habitat (macro shooting obviously).
Sunsets.
My kids.
Flowers.

I would like to take pictures of my horses, but unless I do macro shots, it is impossible.
The minute I go in the paddock, they are all over me for some attention.....

chantal7 I dont know if this would be something you would be interested in. But you should check out your local human society and see if they would be willing to let you take pictures of their animals so they can use them to find homes for them.

ichbindasZerstorer how would you like to shoot streaming headlights or tail lights. Do your best to make it interesting. http://sixuntilme.com/blog-mt1/images/December06/cars1.jpg Tell us what you used for settings and what time of day you took the shot.

MotherOfTwo I want you to shoot one of your horses...... Would it be possible to have one of your childred hold the bridle? Perhaps guide the horse with a rope? You should be able to crop them out and still have a decent picture. If not. I want to see what you can come up with in terms of a close up!

prosnow its time to turn the lens on yourself. I would like to see a sports themed self portrait of you.

Qhotex how would you feel about getting me a portrait of someone from an alley. Something urban. Dark even. Street lights at night ?

XslayaX what do you think you could do to make a bunch of thumb tacks interesting ? If you haven't got those well think of something else.

Now none of these have due dates. Do them at your leisure. I know how hard it can be to make time for this. Remember if its not fun then your stressing it too much. ALSO if anyone is uncomfortable with their "assignment" don't be afraid to say so.

It could be fun to do bountiehunter. But it is almost winter here, so it is rather cold. xD
I think I will do it later this week if I get the opportunity.

Thanks. :D
