sorry for size, was huge and I resized it

Umm, I use a 5.0 Megapixel because I don't have a lot of money to get a nice photography camera yet.
But critique it please, I tried doing the best I could for this.

I think it's a very nice photo with interesting background. Not just a boring picture of a person with a flat background. Nice stairs and I like the rails and the vegetation. Black/white was a good choice.

I only see the portrait (not the landscape)

the composition is not bad. BUT

Maybe if you had him sit a step lower and frame your shot more to the left. It would get rid of that distracting rail in the foreground. :)

that 1st rail really kills the what you have going in the pic.
